Fishing Maumee bay report and east harbor

Crappies are on good with minnows and ice is back and clear!
Lots of small gills two in the hill pond

East harbor is REALLY slow even so slow I am avoiding it!! Good ice though!

Fished Maumee Bay today. Ice is clear and 8"-10" thick. The water was pretty murky today, could only see down about 3ft. The bite was slow, a few little crappies were caught. Only saw one guy with a keeper and he was there since 7 am and I ran into him around 2pm. Ice is good just waiting for the bite to pick up.

I was just jigging around with some gulp baits, everyone else was using shiners and were having better luck than me. Next time I will definately be hitting the bait shop before I go. They weren't loving the man made bait today Neutral .

Yea same here. I was debating on making the trip down to maumee this morning to pick some up but I didn't feel like driving all over the place. I am heading back to the bay on either Wednesday or Friday to see if I can have some better luck.

Fishermans Cave just over the border in MI has minnows, spikes/waxies and a bunch of other things. Its another option

Heading to Maumee Bay to freeze some lines tomorrow and hopefully pull some fish through the ice. Does anybody know when Maumee Tackle or the Fisherman's Cave open? Neither one have hours posted on their websites.

Fished the Bay on Friday. I got three keepers in a little over four hours of fishing. The water is clearing up but the bite was still pretty slow. Any word on how they are doing at East Harbor? I am thinking about heading up there sometime this week.
