white bass hitting really well today

went to cobb today to try to find the crappies. no luck. went all the way around too, jumping out of the truck from spot to spot to try to locate them. but hit a hot spot on the white bass. 3-10inch, 2- 12 inch, and 2-16 inchers. all on minnows on the windward side 4-6 feet deep. saw some carp too, 1 was 4 foot long or so. feared he was hunting minnows or small shad, was afraid he would hit mine, and tear up my reel. bet he topped 15 pounds. sorry no pictures, but kept the fish, cut up for catfish cutbait down there. have cut open a few 12 and 8 pounders from there, and the bellies hold white bass and bluegills. took a whole 9 inch bluegill from one once. anyways, we don't eat them from there, they have a taste that i would say matches motor oil. last year they were everywhere, people complaining all the time, so i am sure i won't hurt any feelings by cutting a few up. can't wait for the contest to start for white bass on here.....came home and showed them to kim, and she started polishing her beetlespin blades......you all might be in trouble.
