Outdoors Mississippi backwater fishing

New Years eve I went to get my new ride a chevy 1500 hd crew cab 4x4 so why not bring the gear on my trip. I left for the Fulton IL it was 34 by the time I hit big muddy it was 17. After getting title in hand it was off to find some save backwater. I landed in a state park in Thompson IL home of the new getmo prison Bull Sh!t should keep on the island. Started drilling with the lazer and should have brought the Striklite. Fished in a boat channel in 6 fow with tons of fish on the Vexilar but could only get a few here and there to go. All fish caught on plastics bluegill,bass,crop both crops @ 10.5
