TwistedWhiskerz Ohio Catfish Tournament Results:
2010 at Turkeyfoot Lake.
Saturday April 10, 2010 TwistedWhiskerz Ohio catfish Tournament Trail had our 1st of season points division at Turkeyfoot Lake in Akron Ohio. There were 54 anglers. Anglers came as far as Wellington, Norwalk, Elyria and Cleveland to put their skills to the test for over $1,730.00 in cash and prizes.

TwistedWhiskerz Turkeyfoot Top 3 Results:

First place went to Skip Martin & Chrissy Jones of Copley With a 6 fish total of a Whopping 58.20 pounds. Their big fish was 11.46 pounds at 29 1/4 inches earning them $468.00 Awarded the Okuma 40% off pro form and position in our virtual trophy room. Setting the bar high early in the year for a 6 fish total

Second Place went to Doug Barris & Mearl Kline of Wellington Landing 6 fish a total of 42.84 pounds big fish was 8.46 lbs. These guys were 1 of the three teams of the total 26 teams to bring their limit in having a healthy consistent weight and patients hanging on one spot all day earned them $330.00 and a good start on the points division.

Third Place went to Scott Riley of Fairview and John Halasz of Brook Park landed 4 fish at 34.52 pounds. Their big fish was 13.84 pounds at 30 inches earning them $141.00 and position in our virtual trophy room. These guys never specifically cat fished before they took their knowledge of bass fishing in Turkeyfoot gave it a go and gott’em in the money.

Big Fish went to a father & son team Shawn & Michael Ward. Michael (18) from Canton caught a whopper of a channel cat weighing in at 15.80 pounds at 301/2 inches. It was his first time cat fishing and was overwhelmed when he got this big fish to the top. They took $207.00 home and won a 9” combo cat pole donated by Gander Mountain and not to mention a lead position in our Virtual trophy room.

IN CLOSING:
A total show of 26 teams a great turn out even had a hand full of spectators. Was a good day event 15 teams brought fish to the scales total of 240.46 lbs. was an “awesome” first event! Thank you all and we’ll see you May 15th at West Branch in portage County our first night event this year.
