Outdoors Daiwai Samurai Braid

My friend Jonny will vouch that I am a die-hard braid user....PowerPro was my brand....I've been hearing about the new 8-strand braid out and decided to check out a few. I bought some of the Daiwai 15lb Green (150 yards) off EBay for 20 bucks and when I got it last week I was shocked....it looks about 1/2 the thickness of my 15 lb PP. The 15lb Samurai is suppose to be the size of 2.5 lb mono. I also purchased some SunLine Castaway PE in 15lb test which is suppose to be smaller than the Samurai. The Castaway is a pale blue and also 8-strand, it was 29 bucks off EB, but alot of places had it higher.
There has always been questions about line visibility but line this small/thin should not be a factor at all.
