1st. Ice Trip A Success (MB up) (EH up)

Got lucky and got school off today so we decided to head th maumee bay with our bait. Head to the 3 cove pond and it only took a few holes to drill before the normal tiny gills were on. The ice ranged from a walk-onable 2in. to 5in. solid. The areas that weren't thicky frozen in my post here http://www.ohiooutdoors.org/nw-ohio-fishing-reports-f8/maumee-bay-ice-fishing-pix-t441.htm were the areas of 2in. ice. Anyways we kept fishing our ice jigs mine on my favorite pole I've ever used. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_102680____SearchResults And Dad got a small Crappie which was a good sign. Then he got another decent one then another and then I finally got one!!! Man it felt good being out there again! unfourtenetly I had a bball game so we had to leave early but I think we could have caught plenty of small ones... (((East Harbor only has 2in)))

good job. this weekend should be good for all of us. we've got plans for 4 of us on ice all day tomorrow. 1 pond we fish regular and 1 new one. i will post how we do.GOOD LUCK AT LA SU AN.
