Gilling Today Slayed Them

[pm for location] Got out today at about 2:00. It was a beautiful day and very warm. There was about 4inches of ice. Anyways as soon as we got there-BAM got onto the gills started off fast and never slowed down! It was only about 4ft. deep but we were in the weeds. Tear drops with a waxie was the hop tip. Ended up pulling in 50 keeper gills averaging about 7inches! They all were about 6in to 8in. Today I also caught my PB pumpkin seed It is a little over 8in. but fatter than fat!!!!! Will get it on the scale and let you know the weight. Caught about 10 eight plus inches today. 5 were pumpkin seeds. Talked to some nice fellow fisherman they were getting some perch on small buckshots and such. All together it was a great day out there and couldnt of been better! I'm jelious....i didn't even get out this weekend, probabally the last time but a big congrats on your fine catch, your gonna make a fisherman out of that boy yet.....he is lucky to have a dad like you, take a kid fishing and keep them off the streets NOW LETS EAT

Hey dude I'm the boy LOL. Alotta people don't know but yea its the other way around I'm lucky to have him lol. We fish all the time! I think we caught about 200 throwbacks. Thanks and we ate them as soon as we cleaned them! I think this may be our new hole instead of LA Su An lol!

BTW , you'd better buy a new tape measurer . I saw a few dinks in there .

Anyways in that 3rd pic he didnt keep them all just a few good ones if that where your seeing the dinks. Really they all measured about 6inches

Before I went bankrupt driving truck , Use to run all over fishing Bass tournement . Now I don't have a boat so I don't know how much open water fishing I'm going to get done .
I was a Bass Federation member since 1986 .
BTW if anyone sees any Falcon rods with Flueger reels for sale , Let me know . I've had my boat broken into twice in 3 years . Had to be a local too . The 1st. time they got me for around $4000 of rods , reels , and lures . This time they got me for $3000 of matching rods & reels . I couldn't fish a tournement now if I wanted to . Oh! And the spinning rods were Fenwick Techna AVs with Shimano reels .
