did pretty good last year. I got a 21lber the opening saturday about a half hour into the hunt. It was my grandpas first turkey hunt and the bird was a little out of reach for him so I put the calls down and let him have it. I went the following day with my dads buddy, and called for him. Ended up calling in 4 jakes pretty early, and he nailed the one and I let out a couple quick calls and the birds stuck around and I got my second turkey of the year. The season ended pretty early for me. The guy next to me and my grandpa owns the bordering property. His bird also weighed 21

yeah my hopes are really high. I have saw alot of toms during the fall. I went scouting sunday evening after fishing, and it was turkey paraidse. Scratches everywhere and even figured out where a few toms are roostin.

had to look at those birds again, how long were thier spurs, also glad to see your grandad hunting with ya, never to old to learn

the jakes had just little nubs, but the bigger one I got I think had 3/4in spurs and a 8 in beard. Yeah my grandpa is hooked now. I will be taking my dad for his first turkey hunt this year. Hopefully I can show him how fun it can be.
