Illinois Turkey day on ice 2008

Well this was kind of last minute that took place aound 11.30 pm on Wed night in the chat room of a Chicago site, when I asked Slabmaster if he would like to try some spots around his house. I picked him up @ 6am head to the bait shop down the street for some waxies yes that's right open at 6am on turkey day. We were on the water and had ice our first fish a crop before 7 :aaathumbsup: over the next 1.5 hour we landed many gills with a few over 8 one perch a bass along with a few crops.

Had to pack it in by 8.30 to be home by 10 like I told the wife didn't want to start the season off on a bad note.

The area we fished are boat channels of the fox chain

Ice was 3'' or less so be careful bring spikes and a friend.





11/28 fished again today for the evening bite with many gills at 7-8''
