Sandusky Bay - Sandusky

Another day at Sandusky and another skunk.
Tried to make it to the main channel entrance into the bay by Cedar Point and hit 2" of ice.
There is open water west of the channel by the sand bar.
Had to back track south and fished the main channel inland.
Fished in 18 fow, 25 fow, and 30 fow and marked no fish.
Continued south back towards Sandusky and fished the lower channel in 25 fow, no fish.
Continued south and fished the nearest can near shore at 16 fow, no fish.
Between the two of us, we cut a dozen holes each and were very discouraged.
Flasher picked up the occasinal school of minows passing through and could see them
under the ice, but did not mark a good signal all day.
Biggest event of the day was a Coyote that came out on the ice at 7:30 this morning and came with in a hundred yards of us to check us out..

Yes, I would like to find that hot spot....
I would like a hunch to pay off sometimes.
