Just dumb luck.

I dont consider myself a great Muskie fishermen but, I was working a bass bed for a huge largemouth and out of no where this 42 inch, 20 pound muskie smacked my lure. With 8 pound test, I had my hands full. Thank God it was open water and I let him run until he had nothing left in him. I will try to post a picture in the near future. I have him getting mounted at this time.

I went back to the same spot the next day and caught the largemouth witch went 7 pounds and a few ounces. Took a few pics of the bass and then released him.

Some times its better to be lucky than good.
