2009 Fish Ohio member postings

So I thought I'd make my first post a good one by opening a thread that would allow everybody to post their Fish Ohio catches as the year goes on. Let me know if you think pics should be included for confirmation, because this could really come down to bragging rights by the time it's all said and done.

Actually I'm glad you reminded me of F.O. because Dad has gotten two eyes this year already to make 28in. We've also been really close on a couple gills. I guess since it's in the family I'll post pix.

Here is the first fish ohio for me this year, got it one the first outing through the ice on Jan. 18th

a little better than 9.5"

Rather be fishing... dont underestimate yourself... if you've ever been out to CJ when the DNR pulls the eye nets, then you will quickly change your mind!!! I personally have seen 14lb eyes come out of the lake during the netting, and its relatively common each year to see 10 or more big female eyes over 10-12lb be pulled from the lake... only difference between Erie and CJ is the quantity of fish... thats about it

I live right in the headwaters of CJ and have fished it as long I as was able to walk behind my old man and carry my own rod... and have caught hundreds of walleye, only downside is not a one of them was 15", they have all been 13" or smaller...

u can post pics, this particular thread is for our qualifying fish oh awards in our state regulations. u can start a new thread with your pics, as i always enjoy looking at everyone's pics.

hooked this whale while crappie fishing with my ultralight. 11 pounds 29 1/2 inches. greased reel when it was all over.................still isn't quite right. my man elliott played with it for about an hour before he let me fillet it and cut into chunks for catfish bait. if you haven't tried it for catfish bait, you should....the big dogs love it!!

Alright guys, I went fishing tonight for the first time in ages! Guess what! I'm on the board... FishOhio WB! 16"!!! First fish of the night, got 10 in all, they were pretty slow and I only had about an hour. They'll be on like crazy by next weekend. What's the biggest right now? Also I didn't know the code word, so I just put ohiooutdoors.org and the date on an index card, also put a tape measure down next to it.

As long as you had some kind of logo thats good enough
