Just posted a trout recipe in the outdoors kitchen
We always throw spinners until the fish get smart. After that we use powerbait

trout recipe sounds pretty good...I have been smokin em in the past, but want to try something new. To catch em I just throw a weighted bobber on, small hook with a rolled up power bait ball(orange and pink) and split shot about a foot down from hook, and fish about 5 feet deep... and I have a couple of hot spots where the fish like to go.... start off fishing about 50 yards from where they stocked em... pretty good hot spot huh? lol then a week later there are not that many guys that know where to catch em in hinckley since its a pretty nice size lake comparing it to other ohdr trout stocked lakes... johnny what spinner do you typically have luck with???? I usually throw a chunk of orange power bait on the bottom but this year ill try a spinner.

usually throw mepps or rooster tails, but don't overlook 1/4 oz. dardevle spoons. not to many people down this way throw em. limit is 5, we threw all our trout back that weekend cause we had plenty in freezer.

Thanks for posting.

I take my kids there every year (Jefferson Lake) and they have a blast.

The damn is by far the best area and with out a doubt minnowss are the best. Remember, as I tell my kids let them run it for a few seconds before you set the hook.
