white bass

since there has been some talk on this species let's get some fav baits and tactics. love to catch this fish but don't get to go for them as much as i would like so i'm a rookie. i've mostly use rooster tails and 2 inch sassy shads with safety pin spinner. have caught some decent whities and hybrids at ohio river, in spring on the river you can load up.

IMO you can't beat a rooster tail and a 1/16oz. white jighead tandem rigged!!!

Twister tail tandems, and roostertails(white). These are my first choices, but I'll also throw small original Rapalas and countdowns.

make sure you tie your tandem far enough apart that you can get a double on!

jigs and roostertails used to be my favorite baits for them, that is until I started using rapalas... HOLY COW!!!! I will never go back to using jigs or roosters... NEVER... I can catch 5:1 with rapalas standing next to someone using jigs or roostertails... heck I've even caught doubles on the same lure where buck creek dumps into CJ... and its quite common to do so
