New Paddling Tips!
I will now be posting paddling tips relatively often. I also will now be leaving up all of of tips. Please comment if they help you! (Lately my page is re-running tips so I will leave up the 5 main ones )
Bugs Bugging You?
Treat a scarf with insect repellent and where it around your neck. It will provide you with hours of relief!
PFD or Not?
No matter how good you may think you are paddling a PFD needs to be worn at all times. Mother Nature is never predicatable!
Protect That Hard Head!
A good fitting helment will make sure that hard head stays protected. Make sure you get a good fit!
Compass Is A Must!
Even if you.ve been down a river many times, if you have a good compass pack as part of your gear you'll be ready when you paddle a new river and need some bearings!
Check-lists
If you use a personal computer, create a folder called "Check-lists" in which to store lists of items you don't want to forget the next time you leave on an outdoor excursion. In the folder, keep permanent lists for Boating, Deer Camp, Bass Fishing, Upland Hunting, etc. If you don't use a computer, type up the lists and keep them in a "Checklists" folder in your filing cabinet.
