Outdoors CJ Brown 1-3-10

Went out for a few hours today with a buddy to the marina at CJ... we fished from about 4 til 5:30 and caught 7 fish... it was really slow between bites... got nice keeper gills and 1 keeper crappie that was 9 inches but was really thin.... all were caught on tear drop jigs tipped with a spike.... most fish came in 14-16 FOW and were quite active surprisingly! First trip of the year out and had a blast... although the wind made it very cold I enjoyed it... going to try it again maybe tomorrow... by the way... the main lake had a huge open spot in it... but the marina had 4-5" of ice

It doesn't take long to get ice with these timps. It was 1.5 yesterday .
