AWESOME Ice Pics (Update)

2 guys were fishing in East Harbor on around 3/1/2in. to 5in. of ice today
The ice has blown back in around P.C. except where the current goes out around the portage. We think we saw a guy fishing around 4mi. straight west of catawba. I think it is do-able although there are some areas around P.C. where a rock falls through. The area around the miller ferry is pretty much open but the airboats are still running. Now we are just waiting for this ice to leave. Please enjoy the pictures.

It's amazing how fast we iced out down here!
Weekend before last right when the weather got really warm we went out and had 11", 5" of that were black... 5 days later it was nothing but open water.. I've never seen anything like it.... no ice at new years... a foot by february 1st, and open water again on the 7th.

What body of water do you have open? I know some guys that have been down near Oakthorpe that said it was still iced up.

CJ Brown did just that... went from about 12" on ice one weekend, then by the next the main part of the lake was completely ice free... it was caused by the warmer temps and the strong winds

bb101 noticed you mentioned oakthoarpe. u talkin fairfield co. used to catch some monster crappie out of there 15 years ago when i used to live in lancaster.
