East Harbor-Panfish and Bass are ON!

It was just a bit too windy yesterday to take the boat out to troll for some eyes... But inside the harbor the fish were waiting all alone for some fishers like us to come along! We pulled up along some east bank lilly pads and it wasn't long till I had missed a couple bass... The fishing was pretty slow at first, just some bass and small gills



Then we moved to some other lily pad areas and it was hit or miss fish, finally we hit a couple gills and nice crappie and of course-Bass

After the relativley slow fishing I finally talked Dad into moving to an isolated breakwall. As soon as we flaoted down that thing, it was fish on every cast gills crappie and bass-they were hitting anything on the dropoff



After fishing the outside of the breakwall for some reason we decided to hit this little cove in a marina and just got tons of keeper gills!!


Then we fished the inside of the breakwall and I only got a nice big 12in. perch. We then tried some rock walls at other places and only ran into a few more fish... No more crappie Must be too late... The other fish sure were hitting though.

wow looks like you did really well. I was camping there this past weekend and tried to get the boat out but my throttle went out. Ended up fishing from shore around the park and got alot of different species of fish. Largemouth, crappie, gills, rock bass, yellow perch, and bullhead. All in all it was a decent trip with lots of fishing memories! Here is some pictures for ya.

I used a jig and waxworm

minnow and bobber and roadrunners for the crappie

roadrunners , best crappie bait ever imo
